Each year the ANU College of Asia and the Pacific may offer a prize known as the Ann Bates Undergraduate Prize for Indonesian Studies.

Overview
The objective of the prize is to award a student who has achieved the best result in an Honours program with a thesis on Indonesia.
The value of the prize awarded is $2000
The prize will be on offer from 2023, indefinitely.
The Prize was created in 2004 to honour the late Ann Coomb Bates (nee Carnie), a believer in university studies contributing to understanding between people of different cultures.
